Jim wanted pictures to send back home so that all of his friends in California would know that things were going well in Texas. So, we set out to capture some great images of Jim with his daughter, grandson and new addition, Oscar.

I stumbled upon a secret central Arlington location whose whereabouts I shall never reveal. I love this location because it is easily accessible, has intense colors and isn’t full of photographers on the weekend. The scenery only reveals itself for about a month before all of the leaves disappear and everything takes on that dead winter look. It’s tucked off behind office buildings and hides itself very well from the street!

We shot in between periods of rainfall and battled some chilly temperatures.

So, California…We’re all good here!
