80 is definitely the new 60.

I had the privilege of photographing Ray alongside his family during the surprise 80th birthday bash thrown in his honor last month.

Two cool facts about Ray:

Ray worked as a scientist at Frito Lay in the late 60’s when he invented, Funyuns. He still has the patent to prove it. You can read more about Ray and Funyuns in the Fort Worth Star Telegram.

Cooler than Funyuns is that all of Ray’s children and their families showed up to honor him on this special day. My favorite images are the portrait of Ray below, the big family picture and Ray with all of his grandkids. Even the dog from down the road decided to make a guest appearance.
