Highland Park Family Photography | Lakeside Park

One of my favorite locations for family portraits is Lakeside Park in Highland Park, TX.  It’s a scenic park set on 14 acres of highly landscaped grounds. (Yes, it’s the one with the teddy bear statues).

It was one of those Texas spring afternoons when the weather seemed a little confused about how it wanted to act.  Thankfully, the rain held off and gave us the perfect opportunity to wander the grounds and capture some special moments with an equally special family.

As they tend to do in families, dynamics are in constant change and usher in new seasons. With the oldest in college, another right behind her and the baby of the family not so much a baby anymore, this family of five picked a particular March afternoon to create something special to cherish.

I’d spent some time with most of the Barnett family during their oldest son’s senior portraits earlier in the month, but it was great to have everyone together on this occasion to create some fun memories…and memorable family portraits.
