Cedar Hill Family Photographer

I’m not the photographer who prides himself on perfectly arranging everyone in a large family to stare directly at the camera with forced smiles.  I actually love accomplishing the opposite.

With a family of seven, trying to coordinate 5 children to sit up straight and look at the camera is slightly absurd and usually not all that interesting in the end.

It takes some convincing, but I love capturing all the kids expressing their unique personalities in their own way.  Sometimes the silliness, squirms and restlessness sets the stage for portrait greatness that could never be planned.

Along with the Barlow family portraits we were also documenting the newest Barlow’s first year in the family as well as an updated professional headshot for Mom.

There was also the challenge of photographing a teenage guy in a field of bluebonnets.  How do you make that look cool?

The answer is always the same.  Let him do what he does best…chill.
