The Royal Family.  Kennedy’s.  Kardashians?  I always have grand ideas for large family portraits.  My goal is to keep it distinguished and classy in style (and hopefully without any of the drama of the latter).  I’ve learned to let the personality of each family shine through and tell their own story.

The entire Hill family was making their way from Oklahoma to Grapevine TX for a once in a lifetime celebration.  50 years of marriage!  I had the privilege of creating a family photograph three generations strong.  Their kids did a great job of planning and coordinating to make a very special time of the weekend.

There is something valuable to glean from time spent with a couple who has spent half a century together in marriage.  Two honorable parents with all of their children and grandchildren by their side.  I think that alone is quite a testimony to a life well lived.

Ironically, our session crossed paths with a Newlywed couple who were having portraits made in the park.  50 years meets 50 minutes!  I jokingly encouraged the new couple to ask advice before we left.

Congrats on a monumental marriage anniversary!  And here’s to just getting started…
