I really do work with the best families in Texas.  And these two were no exception.

Veterans Park in Arlington TX is a local favorite for family portraits.  It has a great bridge, a lot of flowers, paths, stone, vast open fields, wood fences and big trees.  Everything an Arlington TX family portrait photographer could want.

Ashley was about to see her son off for a few weeks in the summer and wanted some family portraits to keep her company while the little guy was vacationing.

Family portraits can be tricky sometimes.  Traditional posed is cool and has its place.  However, it’s hard to pose a small child who is outdoors in the middle of a giant park.  So, sometimes as a photographer you have to move to Plan B.  Sometimes it’s even okay to start with plan B.

Plan B released a little boy into his natural element.  And that made for some memorable moments.  Picking a flower for a special lady.  Exploring nature.  Running an open field (there’s nothing like running an open field).  Watching bees do their thing.  Resting in Mom’s arms.  Swinging on the playground.

Plan B worked out perfectly this particular summer eve.  Plan B’s are the best.
