Mission Arlington Mothers Day Portraits.

I’ve posted about my work with Mission Arlington throughout the years.  They’re an organization that is special to me.

For five years we’ve been hosting free Mothers Day portraits for families at our apartment ministry.  Jeremy Cowart’s Help Portrait movement was my inspiration.  Help Portait is done annually in December and has worldwide participation at this point.  Unfortunately, the month of December is very busy at Mission Arlington so May just has a better fit for us.

Moms Day portraits help us meet and connect with people in the community and let’s us give a special gift to our church families as well.

Really anybody who lives on the property can stop by.  Sometimes just the kids have a picture taken for mom.  Many times Mom also brings the whole family in for her picture.  One little guy stopped in to show us his new glasses.

The next day our images are printed and delivered to the families.

It’s a simple act but a fun way to honor moms and families.
