Non- creative Self-Portrait in Greece…using the Nikon D700 and a mirror.
Well, this is the final travel post for my summer excursion to Greece, Italy and Croatia.  My trip ended up in Italy where it had started a couple of weeks before.  However, my final stay in Italy lasted a bit longer than the first as we planned more time to actually relax and see more of Venice.

Not far from Venice, the island of Murano awaits just a one mile water taxi ride across the Venetian Lagoon.
Murano is famous for its glass works.  Lots of interesting glass items and glass blowing going on there.  We visited a few of the glass shops where the amazing craftsmanship was on display and the art started at a mortgage payment and went up to a new Honda.
Understandably, a gentleman followed me around the entire “gallery.”  I don’t do well in places like that because I like to touch… like the time I was nearly wrestled to the floor of a Fort Worth art museum for approaching an oil painting with my finger extended (the paint looked wet and I needed to know, what can I say).
I shot the image of the screaming eagle because it was July 4th (USA Independence Day).
The following day we also visited the island of Burano.  I have no images of Burano because I decided to look and not shoot.  That was a ridiculous decision…

On the last day we were back in Venice, but this time in the Piazza San Marco area.  Stunning cathedrals, intriguing museums and lots of pigeons.

Summer 2011 — Corfu, Greece
I always appreciate your blog visits and comments.  It was fun to revisit my trip with you over the past month.  Sharing my images always inspires me to begin planning a return to Greece (or Italy for that matter).  As of this writing it has been a month since I landed back home at DFW Airport after exploring Greece, Italy and Croatia for fourteen days.  I sincerely think next time I could easily handle a full month.  Not sure when, but I WILL be returning….
Let me just remind you that I have only posted a few of my recent travel images from Greece, Italy and Croatia in this blog.  The entire collection can be found in my online gallery.
You can purchase prints and digital files of the images or just browse.  I promise not to follow you around and you can even touch them…
Also, I invite you to either subscribe to this blog or give my Facebook page a LIKE so you can keep up with my latest projects.
