Tara Sawyer Foundation I Event Photographer
It is always a privilege to help an amazing organization.
I’ve shot a couple of events for the Tara Sawyer Foundation at the invitation of their photographer (and my friend) Brittany (Brittany Ann Photography).
This was such a memorable day for me because it began with an Alzheimer’s walk with my family to honor the memory of my grandmother, Mimi. Later, an inspiring afternoon of sports photography with Tara Sawyer followed by an evening at the Ballpark watching the Texas Rangers defeat the Detroit Tigers in Game 2 of the American League Division Series.
Each year the Tara Sawyer Classic culminates in an inspiring game of amazing young athletes from around the area. The players, along with their volunteer coaches and cheerleaders from Grace Prep Academy, give it their all and have a tremendous amount of FUN in the process.
It’s a field of dreams for the afternoon…and sliding into home plate is all but required in this game. Because it’s fun. And– that’s what baseball is all about.
