Skillet @ Rock the Flags | DFW Dallas Music Photographer

Dallas Music Photographer

One thing I can say after shooting a Skillet show — there’s no mistaking I was at a rock concert.

An outdoor festival in the evening is probably the ideal setting in which to watch Skillet perform.  High energy and overwhelming pyro and lights.

I recently caught Skillet closing the Rock the Flags event in Arlington, TX.  Fans piled in during the final hours of this festival to see a rock show…and that’s what they got.

On this Easter weekend, frontman John Cooper pressed forward into fan favorite after favorite and took a few moments to share his faith with the mixed crowd of mainstream rock fans and Christian youth groups.

UPDATE:
Skillet Enter Billboard Top 200 at No. 4; New Album RISE Also Hits No. 1 on iTunes Rock Chart
***As always, I used my trusty Nikon D700 along with Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 and Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VR  lenses.
